The city of Fort Collins, Colorado, found a win-win solution to problems it faced with 100 acres of abandoned property. The city now enjoys new green space, improved floodwater management, and a boosted economy.

Pictures are very important complimentary teaching materials. They provide vivid visual impressions to aid clinical students in making diagnosis. This clinical materials were captured during clinical sessions on ward rounds and specialist consultations. The case scenarios developed around the pictures are intended to achieve the following objectives.

The National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP) is an industry, state, and federal partnership that has long played a central role in bettering the health of US poultry and improving the competitiveness of the US poultry and egg industries.[1] The objective of this communication is to report the findings of a case study of the NPIP undertaken in 2018. “Domestic Violence in Immigrant Communities: Case Studies” is a freely accessible eCampus Ontario Pressbook containing case studies of immigrant women experiencing domestic violence to be used as educational materials. The book highlights the complexity of domestic violence cases in immigrant communities and the different legal processes that these women encounter in seeking justice and the challenges they face in relation to re-establishing their own lives and the lives of their children. The book contains questions for reflection; a description of legal processes involved in DV cases, and a glossary of the terms used throughout the case studies.

During Hurricane Sandy, as the storm surge incapacitated buildings all along the New York and New Jersey coasts, Seagate Seagate Rehabilitation & Nursing Center functioned precisely as planned. At the peak of the storm, floodwaters filled the parking area and reached the lobby door, but did not enter the building. Emergency power generators remained safe and supplied backup power for four days despite an area-wide power outage. The nursing home’s emergency plans for food and medical supplies enabled staff and patients to shelter in place despite limited transportation for incoming supplies. Seagate not only provided continuous care to its residents during and after Sandy, it also assisted local community members seeking food and shelter.

Sea level rise is changing the shoreline of San Francisco Bay, endangering homes, habitats, and vital infrastructure. Stakeholders from a diverse array of sectors around the Bay are participating in preparations through a regional partnership.

Cultivating stakeholders is a critical part of event management. This application activity covers the following four-stage process for involving stakeholders in an event: identification of stakeholders, classifying stakeholders, assessing stakeholders, and maintaining stakeholders. A case study is provided for students to apply to cultivating stakeholders in an industry example.
