The Faculty Focus website has a nice article that describes four tips for engaging students as OER creators and curators: Empowering College Students to be OER Creators and Curators. For example, one tip is to connect the activity to a specific problem so that it has more meaning for students (eg, in a STEM context, students could respond to the problem of improving "... the way the media presents traditionally marginalized groups of individuals in science videos")
