Anyone from the community college system who is interested in OER is invited to attend the NCCCS OER Community of Practice (CoP) meetings. Please feel free to forward this information to any PCC faculty and staff who may be interested in attending.

The purpose of the OER CoP is to: promote new and existing OER; promote OER across NCCCS; and to foster OER collaboration across the NCCC system.

Guest Speaker: Tracy Cheatham is a full time chemistry instructor at Wake Technical Community college.  She became interested in using OER when she realized textbook cost was a barrier to the students. Ultimately an OER text was adopted at Wake Tech. Tracy will share her journey implementing OER in the CHM dept.
